Configuring Your Contact Page

Updated August 7, 2026

Edit your shop's built-in contact page so customers can reach you through the contact form

Every Fourthwall shop comes with a built-in contact page. It's always live at yourshop.fourthwall.com/pages/contact, so customers can reach you without you turning anything on. You edit the page content, like the intro text and headings, from the Site design Layout tab.

note

This article covers Fourthwall's built-in contact page only. If you want to embed a third-party contact form (such as Formspree or Typeform), see Add custom HTML and code to your site for instructions on adding a Custom HTML section to a custom page.

Find your contact page

The contact page is one of the built-in policy pages included with every shop. It's live at these URLs:

  • Default domain: yourshop.fourthwall.com/pages/contact
  • Custom domain: yourcustomdomain.com/pages/contact

The link also appears in your shop's footer and in order confirmation emails, so customers can find it when they need help. There's no setting to turn the contact page on or off. It's part of your shop by default.

Edit the contact page content

You edit the contact page the same way you edit your other built-in policy pages:

  1. In your Fourthwall dashboard, go to Site design > Layout.
  2. In the dropdown at the top, choose Policies.
  3. Select Contact.
  4. Click Customize this page to enter edit mode.
  5. Hover over the section you want to change and click Edit section.
  6. Update the text, then save your changes.

For more detail on editing built-in pages, see Edit your site policies in Fourthwall.

What's on the contact form

The contact page includes a form customers use to report problems with their orders. When a customer opens the form, they enter their order number and email address to authenticate, then pick the item and issue they need help with.

The form covers topics like shipping problems, quality concerns, wrong items received, and other order questions. Customers can describe the problem and upload photos or files to support their report.

For a full breakdown of how the form authenticates customers, what they can report, and how requests get routed, see How the Customer Contact Form Works.

Where contact messages go

The contact form routes each request automatically based on the issue type and how the product was fulfilled:

  • Issues routed to Fourthwall's customer experience (CX) team: quality defects and shipping problems on orders fulfilled by Fourthwall or its production partners. The CX team handles the resolution, so you don't need to act.
  • Issues routed to you: problems with self-fulfilled products, questions about digital products, and general inquiries only you can answer. These arrive at your support email.

Set or update your support email in Settings under your shop details.

tip

Set up a dedicated support email for your brand rather than a personal address. Then create a filter or label in your email client to keep contact form messages organized and easy to find.

The contact page already appears in your shop's footer. To add it to your header menu or another menu, link to the /pages/contact path from your menu settings in Site design. Customers can then reach the contact page from wherever you place the link.

What customers see

When a customer visits your contact page, they see the contact form. They enter their order number and email to authenticate, select the item and issue, describe the problem, and attach any supporting photos. After submitting, they get a confirmation that their request was sent. The request then routes to you or to Fourthwall's CX team based on the issue.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to turn on the contact page?

No. The contact page is built in and always live at yourshop.fourthwall.com/pages/contact. There's no toggle to enable or disable it.

Can I hide the contact page from my shop?

The contact page is a built-in policy page and stays live at its URL. You control where it's linked in your navigation through your menu settings in Site design, but the page itself is always available.

Can I add custom fields to the contact form?

No. The contact form uses a standard set of fields and its own authentication flow tied to customer orders. Custom fields are not available.

Can I use a third-party contact form like Formspree or Typeform instead?

Yes. If you want a fully custom contact form, you can embed one on a custom page using the Custom HTML section. See Add custom HTML and code to your site for step-by-step instructions.

Do I get notified when someone submits the contact form?

You receive the requests that are routed to you (self-fulfilled products, digital products, and general inquiries) at your support email. Requests routed to Fourthwall's CX team are handled by Fourthwall directly and don't come to you.

Where do I edit the text on my contact page?

Go to Site design > Layout, choose Policies in the dropdown, select Contact, and click Customize this page.
