What is Fourthwall Pro?
Fourthwall has a free plan, and Fourthwall Pro is an optional paid upgrade for users who need more flexibility. Pro adds priority support, 0% digital product fees, $10 monthly shop credit, unlimited team members, a free .store domain, and a higher weekly usage limit for Eli, the AI assistant in your dashboard.
Fourthwall Pro raises the product listing limit from 50 on Fourthwall Free to 500.
Who should upgrade to Pro?
Anybody can upgrade to Pro, but it is especially valuable for:
- Users who sell over $100/month in digital products (they'll now have a 0% platform fee on these)
- Users who regularly order product samples (they'll now receive $10 in shop credit per month)
- Users with large teams (Pro allows for unlimited team members)
Do I have to upgrade to Pro?
No, this is entirely optional. With Pro, you'll gain access to perks (like monthly shop credit and a free .store domain). You can compare plans here.
What happens if I'm not on Pro?
The Fourthwall Free plan comes with a 50 product cap and a 2 team member maximum. This means you can have 50 products (active or hidden) in your dashboard at once, and you can add only one additional team member to your site. Your shop's exact limits are shown in Settings > Plan.
Will I lose anything I already have?
No. Your site and existing products will not be impacted. If you are over the limit (team members or products) for your plan, everything you already have will stay. You will not be able to add more beyond your plan's limits unless you archive products or remove team members.
Why did Fourthwall launch Pro?
We created Pro to give users more advanced tools and perks, while allowing Fourthwall to remain free for everyone. Pro helps us support larger teams, prevent spam, and continue improving the platform.
How does the monthly shop credit work?
Once a month, $10 in shop credit will be added to your shop credit balance.
If I have more than one shop, does my upgrade count for each one?
No. You will need to choose which shop you'd like to upgrade to Fourthwall Pro. This will not automatically upgrade all of your shops, even if they are under the same login.
Does the 0% digital products fee include the payment processing fee?
No. There will still be a transaction fee, but you will have a 0% platform fee (vs 5%) on digital products you sell.
Does the 0% platform fee on digital products with Pro also remove the 5% fee on Memberships?
No. The 0% platform fee only applies to digital product sales. Memberships will continue to have the standard 5% platform fee.
If I upgrade to Pro after Customers have already placed orders, will the fees on those existing orders change?
No. Platform fees and processing fees are determined at the moment of checkout and locked in at that time. Upgrading or downgrading your plan does not retroactively change fees on orders placed before the plan change. New rates apply only to sales made after the upgrade takes effect.
Does the 2-team member limit for Free include myself?
Yes. With Fourthwall Free, you can invite one other person to help with your site.
Does the product limit include both physical and digital products?
Yes. Both digital and physical products count towards your product listing maximums.
- Fourthwall Free - 50 product maximum
- Fourthwall Pro - 500 product maximum
What products are counted towards the product limit?
All active products, including live or hidden products, count towards your product listing maximum. Archived products do not count.
Can the 500-product limit on Fourthwall Pro be increased?
The 500-product cap on Fourthwall Pro is fixed. The limit is intentional, set to protect platform performance and keep the catalog experience fast for both creators and Customers. If your shop has significant sales volume and needs more than 500 products, email support@fourthwall.com with your shop URL and how many products you need to list, and ask about an exemption.
If you need to list more designs, use these workarounds:
- Archive inactive products. Archived products do not count toward your 500-product limit, so move slow-moving or seasonal items to your archive to free up space.
- Use combined product listings. Group multiple design variations into a single listing instead of publishing each one as its own product. One combined listing counts as one product against your limit.
How do I know what plan I currently have?
Your current plan is shown in Settings > Plan in your Fourthwall dashboard. Under Your plan, you will see your current plan and next billing cycle.
How do I claim my free Pro domain?
You can find and claim your new domain in your dashboard
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
You can cancel your Pro subscription directly from your dashboard. Go to Settings > Plan and click Cancel subscription under Your plan. Your Pro perks stay active until the end of your billing cycle. For step-by-step instructions, see How to cancel Fourthwall Pro.
Canceling an active paid Fourthwall Pro subscription stops the next renewal, on monthly or annual Pro. You keep Fourthwall Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for, including the rest of the year on an annual plan.
To switch from annual Pro to monthly, cancel to stop renewal, then resubscribe after your current paid period ends. For the steps, see Change your Fourthwall Pro billing cycle.
If you have a problem with a Fourthwall Pro renewal charge or aren't sure whether a renewal went through, email support@fourthwall.com with your shop URL and the charge date.
Can I get a refund if I cancel annual Fourthwall Pro?
No, canceled annual Fourthwall Pro plans aren't refunded.
What happens to my free Pro domain if Fourthwall Pro expires?
A .store domain claimed free with Fourthwall Pro costs $49.99/year after Fourthwall Pro expires. If you claimed a domain with a different ending, email support@fourthwall.com before Fourthwall Pro expires. Include your shop URL and the domain you claimed, and ask about its renewal and cost. Every Fourthwall plan, including Fourthwall Free, can use a custom domain.
Does the Pro monthly shop credit roll over?
Yes! You do not need to rush to use the $10 monthly shop credit you receive when you upgrade to Pro. Pro shop credit never expires and builds up month to month while Pro is active.
What happens if my Pro plan payment fails?
Your Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period, so you won't lose features right away. Stripe, the payment processor Fourthwall uses, automatically retries the charge over the following days. If the retry succeeds, your subscription continues with no interruption. If the payment is not resolved, your plan will be downgraded to Fourthwall Free at the end of the billing period.
There is no way to retry the charge on demand. Neither you nor our support team can force it through. The one action that helps is updating the card on file, because Stripe retries the charge again after you do.
How do I update my payment method for Fourthwall Pro?
You update the card for Fourthwall Pro in Settings > Billing and payouts. For step-by-step instructions on adding a new card and removing an old one, see Add and manage your payment methods. If your card was declined or expired, update it as soon as possible so Stripe can successfully retry the charge.
Your Pro subscription is charged to the card on file, not to the bank account you use for payouts. Having payout details saved does not give Fourthwall a way to charge your subscription, so you still need a valid card here. For more on the difference, see How Payout Methods Differ from Payment Methods.
My card was declined for my Pro subscription. What should I do?
First, check that your card has not expired and that you have sufficient funds. Then go to Settings > Billing and payouts and update your payment method. Stripe will automatically retry the charge after you update your card. If you continue to have trouble, contact your bank to confirm the transaction is not being blocked, or email support@fourthwall.com with your shop URL.
