For Twitch discounts on product orders (not memberships), see [Twitch Subscribers Discounts, Orders and Products](/manage-my-shop/apps-features-and-integrations/twitch-subscribers-discounts-orders-and-products). ## Twitch Gifting for Memberships Twitch Gifting lets you and your viewers gift one-month or one-year memberships to people in your Twitch chat. When someone purchases a gift, the FourthwallHQ bot automatically announces and manages the giveaway in your chat. If you already connected Twitch Gifting for products in your shop, no additional setup is needed. When you go live on Twitch, each membership tier automatically shows a **Gift to Twitch chat** button on your pricing page. Go to [**Apps > Twitch Gifting**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/apps/twitch?redirect) in your Fourthwall dashboard. 2. Click the app to connect and set it up. 3. Follow the steps to link your Twitch account to your Fourthwall account. [Image: Twitch Gifting app page in the Fourthwall Apps dashboard] Once connected, live gifting is active on your next stream. ## How gifted memberships work for supporters Winners of a membership giveaway receive a redemption link (*yourshopname.com/redeem*) and can claim their free membership by completing signup at no cost. Several days before the gifted membership expires (after one month or one year, depending on the gift), the winner receives an email reminder to add a payment method so their membership continues without interruption. Gifted memberships can only be redeemed by supporters who are NOT already active members of your site. If an existing member is selected as a giveaway winner, you can redo the giveaway from your dashboard. The FourthwallHQ bot highlights this requirement in chat, but we recommend calling it out to your community to reduce confusion. The discount applies automatically as long as the supporter maintains an active Twitch subscription to your channel. If they unsubscribe from Twitch, the discount is removed and they pay the regular tier price. If they resubscribe, they can reconnect their Twitch account to reactivate the discount. This feature also creates an incentive for higher-tier Twitch subs to shift their support to Fourthwall Memberships, where 95% of the subscription goes directly to you (compared to about 70% on Twitch). The maximum Twitch sub discount you can offer is **80%**. ## How to set up Twitch sub discounts 1. Go to **Apps** > [**Membership discounts for Twitch subs**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/apps/twitchMembershipsDiscounts?redirect) in your Fourthwall dashboard. Choose whether to apply the same discount to all membership tiers or set different discount percentages per tier. 4. Click **Save** in the top right corner. [Image: Twitch discount settings with 30% off same discount for all tiers] ## How supporters apply the Twitch sub discount Once you enable discounts, supporters see the discounted pricing on the tiers section of your homepage and on your pricing page (*yourshopname.com/supporters/pricing*). They can then complete checkout at the reduced price. If they unsubscribe, their membership updates to the normal price. If they resubscribe, they can reconnect their Twitch account to reactivate the discount. ## Troubleshooting and Common Issues **Problem:** An existing member won a giveaway but cannot redeem the gift. **Solution:** Gifted memberships are redeemable only by supporters who are NOT already active members. If an existing member is selected, use the redo giveaway option from your dashboard to select a different winner. **Problem:** A supporter connected their Twitch account but the discount did not apply at checkout. **Solution:** Confirm the supporter's Twitch subscription to your channel is currently active. The discount does NOT apply if the Twitch subscription has lapsed, even if the Twitch account is connected. The supporter should verify their Twitch sub status and try again. **Problem:** I want to offer a Twitch sub discount higher than 80%. **Solution:** 80% is the maximum Twitch sub discount for Memberships. This limit is NOT adjustable. **Problem:** Twitch Gifting is enabled but the "Gift to Twitch chat" button does not appear on tiers. **Solution:** The gift button only appears when you are actively live on Twitch. Confirm your stream is live and that your Fourthwall and Twitch accounts are properly connected via the Twitch Gifting app in your dashboard.
