You can design a membership offering that works for you, from passive "merch club" tools like members-only products and discounts to a full hub for exclusive content and community engagement. Supporters can view your offerings and subscribe at *yourshopname.com/supporters/pricing*. ## Getting started ### Enable Memberships on your Fourthwall account Go to **Memberships** > [**Overview**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/memberships/overview?redirect) in your dashboard. The Overview tab is your home base for all Memberships features and contains an onboarding checklist to guide you through the most important setup steps. [Image: Memberships Overview page with onboarding checklist, navigation menu, and setup steps] The left-hand navigation menu gives you access to all key Memberships sections: - **Overview** — Guided setup and onboarding checklist to launch your Memberships - **Posts** — Publish and manage members-only posts. Use the search bar to find posts by title. - **Messages** — Communicate with your members directly using Fourthwall's messaging tools - **Video Series** — Build and share video collections for members - **Members** — View, manage, and engage with your member list. Search for members by nickname or email, and use filters to narrow results. - **Perks & tiers** — Create and customize membership tiers and perks - **Settings** — Configure badges, welcome posts, mobile app access, and more ### Create tiers Tiers are the levels your supporters can join to access exclusive perks. You can create as many tiers as you like, but focus on what your supporters will find valuable and what you can sustain. Each tier unlocks specific perks. - You must create at least one tier before you can launch. - Add, edit, or delete tiers under **Memberships** > **Perks & tiers**. - You can also create a free tier (priced at $0) to let supporters join without a recurring charge. Free tiers appear alongside paid tiers on your shop's tiers section. [Video: Add a tier] Your tiers display in a layout that supports both free and paid tiers side by side, making it easy for supporters to compare options and choose the right level. **Examples:** - **Single-tier, "merch club" model:** members-only discounts, products, or Discord access (low maintenance). - **Three-tier model:** three levels with a mix of content, events, and perks to match supporter interest. They can be: - **Passive** — exclusive products and discounts that don't require ongoing work from you - **Active** — access to exclusive content or events - **In between** — polls or Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions that build community and drive engagement [Video: Create a perk] The right perks strategy depends on your goals, bandwidth, and what will resonate most with your supporters. **Available perk types:** - **Custom perk** — Maximum flexibility to customize your membership offering based on your brand, community, and goals - **Discord** — Grant special roles and access to members in your Discord server - **Members-only discounts** — Reward members with exclusive promotions on the products in your shop - **Members-only products** — Offer a new level of exclusivity to your most loyal community members - **Private audio RSS feed** — Let members access all of your audio posts in one centralized place To add a perk, click [**Add perk**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/memberships/perks?redirect) under a tier. It can be as simple as a welcome message, a teaser about what's coming, or your first piece of exclusive content. [Video: Create a post] **Ideas for your first post:** - A short "Welcome to Memberships!" note to set the tone - Behind-the-scenes content or a sneak peek of your next project - A poll asking members what perks or content they're most excited about - A teaser trailer, draft, or early-access version of upcoming work Your first post doesn't need to be elaborate. It's about showing members what to expect and making them feel part of something special from day one. ### Add Memberships to your homepage Once you've created at least one tier and added perks, make your Memberships visible on your homepage to build awareness and drive signups. 1. From your dashboard, click **Add Memberships to your homepage**. You'll be prompted about these actions: - **Add Memberships to your menu** - **Add Memberships to your homepage** 2. Click **Confirm changes** to apply. You can customize these right away or later. [Video: Add Memberships to home page] ## Customize how Memberships appear After completing setup, you can edit how Memberships appear on your homepage at any time: - **Menu:** Go to **Site design** > **Pages** to edit the "Members only" menu and its sub-items (Feed, Videos, Perks). Rename, reposition, add sub-items, or delete them as needed.
