# How to Set the Timezone for Your Fourthwall Dashboard

Your Fourthwall site timezone controls how dates and times display across analytics, order timestamps, member sign-up dates, scheduled posts, and CSV exports. The default timezone is UTC. Payouts always use UTC regardless of your selected timezone.

## What the timezone setting affects

Once you set a site timezone, the following all use that timezone consistently:

- Analytics dashboard data and reports
- Order dates and timestamps
- Member sign-up dates
- Scheduled post publish times
- All downloaded reports and CSV exports
- Date and time display for all team members, even those in different locations

Payouts always use UTC for consistency. For example, a payout covering June 1 to June 30 is calculated using UTC dates, not your site's selected timezone.

## How to change your dashboard timezone

By default, your site timezone is set to UTC. To update it:

1. In your Fourthwall dashboard, go to **Settings > [General](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/settings/general?redirect)**.
2. Scroll to the **Timezone** section and click the dropdown to select your preferred timezone.
3. Click **Save**.

All future analytics, timestamps, and scheduled posts will use the new timezone immediately.

## Which timezone should I choose?

**Set it to your local timezone if you:**
- Schedule posts regularly and want them to publish at your local time
- Prefer to review analytics data that aligns with your working day

**Set it to a shared timezone if you:**
- Work with a team distributed across multiple time zones and want everyone to see consistent dates

**Leave it on UTC if you:**
- Are already accustomed to UTC and do not rely heavily on post scheduling or localized time reporting

## Troubleshooting

**Problem:** Scheduled posts are publishing at the wrong time.
**Solution:** The publish time is based on your site's configured timezone, not your browser's local time. Update your timezone setting to match your local time zone, then verify that your scheduled posts reflect the correct time.

**Problem:** Analytics data shows dates that do not match expectations.
**Solution:** Analytics data displays in your site's selected timezone. If the timezone was recently changed, historical data will appear in the new timezone, which may shift some date groupings.

**Problem:** Team members see different timestamps.
**Solution:** Fourthwall uses the site timezone consistently for all team members. Everyone should see the same timestamps. If team members see different times, they may be looking at browser-local time in a different part of the interface. Confirm all team members are checking dashboard analytics data, not browser-level timestamps.
