# Manage your email notifications

Fourthwall sends email notifications about orders, account activity, memberships, and marketing updates. You can customize which notifications you receive from your account settings. Each team member controls their own notification preferences independently.

## How to find email notification settings

Email notification settings are per user. Each team member must configure their own preferences, and changes do NOT affect other team members.

1. Click your **profile icon** in the top-right corner of the Fourthwall dashboard.
2. Select **Account settings**.
3. Click [**Email notifications**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/account/email-notifications?redirect).

From this page, check or uncheck the individual notifications you want to receive.

## Marketing emails

Marketing emails cover new feature releases and promotional campaigns from Fourthwall. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time without affecting your account or membership notifications.

Available marketing email types include:

- **Creator Digest**. A periodic summary of platform news and updates.
- **Product updates**. Notifications about new products and catalog changes.
- **One-off campaigns**. Occasional promotional emails from Fourthwall.

## Account notifications

Account notifications alert you to operational events related to your shop, including order issues, product availability changes, and billing events.

Available account notification types include:

- **Out of stock**. Notifies you when a product variant goes out of stock or is discontinued.
- **Payment charges**. Alerts about charges to your payment method on file.
- **Charge limits**. Warnings when you approach or reach your monthly charge limit.
- **Blocked transactions**. Notifications when a transaction is blocked.
- **Twitch gifting**. Alerts when supporters gift products through Twitch integration.

Account notifications are recommended for day-to-day shop management. You can enable instant notifications to be alerted the moment a new order is placed.

## Membership notifications

Membership notifications cover subscriber engagement activity. These only apply if you have [memberships](/memberships/getting-started-with-memberships/launching-memberships) enabled on your Fourthwall site. If memberships are not active, this category has no effect.

Available membership notification types include:

- **New members**. Alerts when a new supporter joins your membership.
- **Post comments**. Notifications when members comment on your posts.
- **Messages**. Alerts when members send you direct messages.
- **Message unlocks**. Notifications when a supporter unlocks a locked message.

## Manage notifications link in supporter emails

Transactional emails sent to supporters, such as credit card charge confirmations, include a **Manage notifications** link. This link lets supporters control which emails they receive from your shop, keeping your email communications compliant with Google's sender guidelines.
