# How to Edit Your Site Policies in Fourthwall

Your Fourthwall site includes built-in policy pages with editable content blocks you can customize to match your brand or legal requirements. These pages are Contact, Privacy Policy, Returns & FAQ, and Terms of Service. Each page starts with a standard template drafted for general use, and you can overwrite any text with your own language.

## What policy pages are included?

Fourthwall provides four default policy pages on every site:

- **Contact**. A page for customers to reach you or your support team.
- **Privacy Policy**. Covers how your site collects and uses visitor data.
- **Returns & FAQ**. Outlines your return process and answers common customer questions.
- **Terms of Service**. Sets the legal terms for using your site and purchasing products.

Each page starts with a standard template. Once you customize a template, it will no longer update automatically when Fourthwall makes changes to the standard version. Fourthwall cannot provide legal advice, but these built-in templates provide a strong baseline you can adjust as needed.

## How to access your policy pages

1. In your Fourthwall dashboard, go to [**Site design > Layout**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/store-design/layout/index/?redirect).
2. In the dropdown at the top, choose **Policies**.
3. Select any of the four pages: **Contact**, **Privacy Policy**, **Returns and FAQ**, or **Terms of Service**.

## How to edit policy page content

1. Select the policy page you want to update.
2. Click **Customize this page** to enter edit mode.
3. Hover over the section you want to change and click **Edit section**.
4. Edit the text directly in the editor.

The editor supports dynamic placeholders like `{{ shop_name }}` and `{{ shop_email }}`. These update automatically when you change your shop name or email in [**Settings**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/settings/general?redirect), so you don't need to manually update your policies when your shop details change.

If you need specialized legal language, you can overwrite any text in these pages. You can also consult a lawyer and paste your custom terms directly into the editor.
