# How to Change Your Site's Status

Your Fourthwall site status controls whether your site is publicly visible to visitors. You can change it at any time from two locations in your dashboard.

## Where to find your site status

### Option 1: From the Home tab

Go to the [Home](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard?redirect) tab in your dashboard. The current site status is displayed in the upper-left corner.
### Option 2: From the Site Design tab

Open the [Site Design](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/store-design-v2/layout/index/) tab. The current status appears in the top-right corner.
## Available site status options

Click the status dropdown in either location to choose from the following:

### Live

Your site is publicly visible and fully accessible to all visitors. This is the status you want when your shop is open for business.

### Coming Soon

Visitors see a Coming Soon page instead of your full storefront. This is useful when you are preparing for a launch and want to build anticipation or collect email addresses before going live.

- You can add a **password** to give early access to select visitors (such as your community or newsletter subscribers).
- The Coming Soon page is fully customizable in Site Design.
### Schedule as Live

Set a specific date and time for your site to automatically go live. Until the scheduled time, visitors see your Coming Soon page with a countdown timer showing the time remaining until launch.

- Set the launch date and time from the dropdown options.
- The countdown is displayed on your Coming Soon page automatically.
## Troubleshooting & Common Issues

**Problem:** My site shows as Live but visitors are seeing the Coming Soon page.
**Solution:** Confirm the status is set to Live in both the Home tab and the Site Design tab. Clear your browser cache or check in an incognito window — old cached pages can show the Coming Soon state.

**Problem:** The scheduled launch time did not trigger as expected.
**Solution:** Verify that the scheduled date and time were saved correctly. Check that your dashboard timezone is set correctly at Settings > General — the scheduled launch time uses your site's configured timezone.

**Problem:** I want to temporarily hide my shop without fully taking it offline.
**Solution:** Switch to Coming Soon status to hide your products from public visitors while keeping your site technically reachable. Optionally add a password for controlled access.
