# Connect Mailchimp to your Fourthwall site

Connecting Mailchimp to Fourthwall automatically syncs supporter emails, membership data, and order information to your Mailchimp audience. Once connected, you can send targeted campaigns, set up automated flows, and track performance without manual data exports.

## What is Mailchimp

Mailchimp is an email marketing and automation platform. It lets you send targeted campaigns, set up automations like welcome or follow-up emails, and track performance in one place.

## What syncs between Fourthwall and Mailchimp

The data synced to Mailchimp depends on your Mailchimp plan:

**All Mailchimp plans:**

- When a supporter subscribes to your newsletter mailing list, their email is sent to Mailchimp automatically.
- When a supporter joins your memberships program, their email and contact details are sent to Mailchimp automatically.
- When a supporter places an order (on accounts without Mailchimp e-commerce features), their email is sent to Mailchimp. The order is synced as a [custom event](https://mailchimp.com/help/use-events-behavioral-targeting/).

**Mailchimp Standard plan and above (e-commerce features):**

- All products sync to Mailchimp as products in your catalog.
- All active promotions sync to Mailchimp as coupons.
- When a supporter places an order, the full order details sync to Mailchimp (not just the email).

Once connected, you can use Mailchimp to send promotional email campaigns, track campaign success rates, build automated flows, and create [sign-up forms](https://mailchimp.com/help/create-a-hosted-signup-form/) for your site.

**Alternative via Zapier:** You can also connect Mailchimp through Fourthwall's Zapier integration, which supports syncing orders, products, and promotions without additional API configuration. ## How to connect Mailchimp to your Fourthwall site

1. Go to [**Apps**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/settings/apps/?redirect) in your Fourthwall dashboard and filter by **Email marketing**. Click the **Mailchimp** app.

2. Click **Connect** to the right of the Mailchimp app option.

3. On the authorization screen, click **Allow** to grant Fourthwall access to your Mailchimp account.

4. Select an existing Mailchimp audience to connect your Fourthwall contacts to, or create a new one.

5. To push your existing memberships and newsletter subscribers to Mailchimp right away, click **Sync Data**. Future signups sync automatically.

Your Mailchimp account is now connected to your Fourthwall shop and will automatically receive transactional data going forward.
