# Kit: Connect Your Email Marketing to Fourthwall

Kit is a marketing email automation tool that syncs supporter emails from your Fourthwall site automatically. Once connected, every order, newsletter sign-up, and membership subscription sends the supporter's email to Kit so you can run targeted campaigns, set up automations, and track results.

If you don't have a Kit account, sign up at [Kit's registration page](https://app.kit.com/users/signup?plan=1k).

## What does the Kit integration do?

Connecting Kit to Fourthwall enables automatic email syncing and purchase tracking across your shop activity.

- When a supporter places an order, their email is sent to Kit and the order is synced as a Purchase
- When a supporter subscribes to your newsletter, their email is sent to Kit
- When a new member joins your memberships program, their email and information are sent to Kit
- Membership subscription purchases and renewals sync to Kit as Purchases, letting you calculate member lifetime value
- You can set up [Sign-up forms](https://kit.com/features/forms) on your site to capture emails directly

After connecting, you can send promotional email campaigns through Kit and track the success rates of each campaign.

## How to connect Kit to your Fourthwall site

1. Go to [**Apps**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/settings/apps/?redirect) in your Fourthwall dashboard and filter by **Email marketing**. Click the **Kit** app.

3. On the authorization screen, click **Grant access to Fourthwall** to allow the connection.

If you have multiple Kit accounts, use the account dropdown to select the correct one before granting access.

4. Your Kit account is now connected. Fourthwall will automatically send transactional data to Kit going forward. To import your existing memberships and newsletter subscribers, click **Sync Data**.

## Troubleshooting the Kit connection

### Connect button takes you to Kit's entry page instead of the authorization screen

If clicking **Connect** drops you on Kit's homepage or sign-in page instead of the **Grant access to Fourthwall** screen, your browser is likely stripping the OAuth redirect parameters. Privacy-focused browsers like Brave can block these as part of their tracking protection, which breaks the handoff between Fourthwall and Kit.

Try these steps in order:

1. **Disable privacy shields for Fourthwall and Kit.** In Brave, click the lion icon in the address bar and lower **Shields** for both sites. In other browsers, turn off strict tracking protection or enhanced privacy mode for the session.
2. **Try an incognito or private window.** This rules out session conflicts from cached logins or stored cookies tied to a different Kit account.
3. **Switch to a standard browser.** If the issue persists, complete the connection in Firefox, Chrome, or Edge with default privacy settings. You can return to your preferred browser once connected.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, reach out at [support@fourthwall.com](mailto:support@fourthwall.com).

## How to use Fourthwall content blocks in Kit emails

Kit provides two Fourthwall content blocks you can embed in your emails: a product block and a collection block. These blocks pull data directly from your Fourthwall shop.

To add a content block:

1. While writing an email in Kit, type "/" to open the content block menu.

2. Type "fourthwall" to filter the results. Select either **Fourthwall Product** or **Fourthwall Collection**.

3. Configure the block using the sidebar on the right. The only required field is selecting the product or collection through the autocomplete search field.

The content block will render with your product image, name, price, and a buy button. You can customize the appearance further using the sidebar options.
