# Start here: launch your Fourthwall shop

## What are the steps to launch my shop?

Launching a Fourthwall shop takes eight steps. Steps 6 and 8 are optional, but they help your launch go smoothly.

1. **Create your account.** Sign up and name your shop. See Create your Fourthwall account.
2. **Add your first product.** Go to [**Products**](https://admin.fourthwall.com/?redirectPath=/products/all/) and click **Create new product**. See Create new product listings.
3. **Design your shop.** Pick a theme, then add your logo, colors and fonts. See Build your website.
4. **Set up payouts.** Go to [**Settings** > **Billing and payouts**](https://admin.fourthwall.com/?redirectPath=/settings/billing/) and click **Set up your payouts**. See How you get paid.
5. **Add a billing payment method.** On the same page, under **How we charge you**, click **Add a payment method**. Fourthwall charges it when your account balance doesn't cover a cost, such as unprofitable products, promo codes or giveaways. See Add and manage your payment methods.
6. **Order a sample (optional).** Order your product for yourself to check its quality before you sell it. See Order samples.
7. **Go live.** Click the site status button at the top of your dashboard **Home**, next to your shop link, select **Live**, then click **Save**. See Change site status.
8. **Promote your launch (optional).** Share your shop link and consider a launch promo code. See Promote the launch of your new shop.

## Who can set up payouts?

Only a team member with the shop owner role can set up payouts. The **Set up your payouts** button in **Settings** > **Billing and payouts** is hidden for everyone else, so if you don't see it, ask a team member who has the shop owner role. Fourthwall pays creators through Stripe Connect. If Stripe Connect doesn't support your country, see What if your country is not supported by Stripe. If Stripe blocks your setup, see How you get paid for other payout options.
