# Preview and publish site changes

Changes made in the Fourthwall site designer are NOT live right away. You can preview your work before making it visible to supporters. When you're ready, click **Save** to publish your changes.

## Preview your changes

To preview site design changes before publishing, go to [**Site design**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/store-design/layout/index/?redirect) in your dashboard and click **Preview**. The preview opens your site with your current edits applied. Nothing is live yet — supporters see the last saved version until you click **Save**.

## Save your changes

When you're happy with how everything looks, click **Save** to make your changes live. You can also save directly from the preview screen without returning to the editor first. Once saved, your changes are visible to all supporters immediately.

## Discard unsaved changes

To undo changes you haven't saved yet, click **Discard**. This removes all unsaved edits and reverts the editor to the last saved version of your site.

**Important:** Discard only removes changes you haven't saved yet. To undo changes that are already live, make new edits and click **Save** again.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why aren't my site changes showing up for supporters?

Your changes may not be saved yet. In the site designer, click **Save** to make your changes live. If you already clicked **Save** and changes still aren't appearing, try clearing your browser cache or waiting a few minutes for the update to propagate.

### What is the difference between Save and the Live/Coming Soon toggle?

The **Save** button in the site designer publishes your design changes (layout, colors, fonts, sections) to your live site. The **Live/Coming Soon** toggle in your shop settings controls whether your entire shop is visible to supporters. You can save design changes at any time, but supporters only see them when your shop status is set to **Live**.

### What happens if I close the editor without saving?

Any unsaved changes are lost. The editor reverts to the last saved state. Click **Save** before closing if you want to keep your work and make it live.
