# Accessing and Linking Custom Page URLs

Every custom page you create on Fourthwall has a unique direct URL. You can copy that URL from Page settings in the Layout editor and use it anywhere: site navigation, buttons, text blocks, emails, or social media posts.

## How to find and copy a custom page URL

1. Sign in to your [Fourthwall dashboard](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard).
2. Go to **Site design** > **Layout**.
3. From the page dropdown at the top, select the custom page you want to work with. This opens the page in the editor so you can preview it.

4. Click **Page settings**, then copy the **Final URL** shown there.

The Final URL is the publicly accessible address for your page. Use this link to share, embed in buttons, or add to your navigation menu.

## How to add a custom page to your site navigation

Once you have the custom page URL, you can add it to your header menu so visitors can find it directly from any page on your site.

1. In the dashboard, go to **Site design** > **Header** > **Edit menu**.

2. Click **Add menu link**, paste the custom page URL, enter a Link name, and click **Add menu link**.

3. Optionally, drag and drop to reorder menu items before saving.

4. Click **Save** to publish your changes.

The same URL can also be used in footer menus, button links in page sections, or shared directly in emails and social posts. There is no limit on how many places a page URL can be referenced.

## Where else can you use a custom page URL?

Custom page URLs work anywhere a URL is accepted on Fourthwall:

- **Header navigation.** Added via **Site design** > **Header** > **Edit menu** (covered above)
- **Footer navigation.** Added via **Site design** > **Layout** > **Footer** > **Edit menu**
- **Button links in page sections.** Paste the URL into the **Links to** field when editing a banner, image, or button section
- **Custom HTML sections.** Use the URL as an `href` in anchor tags within any Custom HTML block
- **External shares.** The URL works as a regular link in emails, social bios, and print materials

## Troubleshooting

**Problem:** The custom page does not appear in the dropdown when selecting pages in the Layout editor.
**Solution:** The page may not have been saved after creation. Go to **Site design** > **Pages** to confirm the page exists in your list of custom pages.

**Problem:** The Final URL copied from Page settings returns a 404 error.
**Solution:** Check that your shop is set to **Live** status, not **Coming soon** or **Password-protected**. Pages are accessible publicly only when the shop is live. Also confirm that the page itself is not set to hidden.

**Problem:** The navigation link appears in the header but clicking it leads to the wrong page.
**Solution:** Verify that you pasted the complete Final URL including the full path (for example, `https://yourshop.fourthwall.com/pages/about`). Partial or misformatted URLs may redirect incorrectly.
