# Customize your homepage layout

Your homepage is the first impression visitors get of your brand. Fourthwall lets you add, rearrange, and edit sections directly from the layout editor to create a design that matches your goals.

## Step 1: Open the layout editor

Go to [**Site design** > **Layout**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/store-design/layout/index/) in your Fourthwall dashboard. Select **Home** from the drop-down menu at the top. This page is selected by default when you open the layout editor.

The homepage has three areas you can customize:

- **Header section.** The top of the page, typically showing your logo, navigation menu, and quick links.
- **Page section.** The main body where you add content such as products, text, images, or video.
- **Footer section.** The bottom area with links to policies, contact info, or social media.

## Step 2: Add a section to the homepage

To add a new section, click the **(+)** link for a **header**, **page**, or **footer** section, then choose from the available options:

- **Header:** Announcement bar
- **Page:**
  - Layout: Text, Text blocks, Text banner, Image, Image with text, Image banner, Links list, Video, Video with text, Video banner, Scrolling text, Search bar
  - Shop: Featured collection, Featured product, Collections list
  - Memberships: Tiers, Recent posts
  - Social feeds: YouTube feed, Instagram feed, TikTok feed
  - Others: Donations, Newsletter, Embedded section, Custom HTML
- **Footer:** Announcement bar

Text blocks let you divide longer content into structured segments, making it easier for visitors to scan and read. Recent posts is only available to creators with active memberships. It shows your newest membership posts on the homepage so supporters can discover recent content.

## Step 3: Reorder sections and control visibility

After adding sections, you can rearrange them or hide them until they are ready to publish.

- To reorder a section, grab the drag handle and move it to the position you want on the page.
- To hide or show a section, click the eye icon next to it. Hidden sections are saved but not visible to site visitors.

## Step 4: Edit a section

Click any section to open its settings panel. From there, you can update the appearance, layout, text, media, buttons, and other elements. Preview your changes, then click **Save** to apply them.

Each section's settings vary depending on its type. A text section lets you edit copy and font styling, while a shop section lets you choose which products to feature.

## Step 5: Rename, duplicate, or delete a section

Open a section and click the three-dot icon to access these options:

- **Rename.** Give the section a custom label to keep your layout organized.
- **Duplicate.** Copy the section and its settings to create a similar section quickly.
- **Delete.** Remove the section from your homepage permanently.

## Tips for a strong homepage layout

- Keep your most important content, such as store info or featured products, near the top.
- Use a mix of text, images, and video sections for visual balance.
- Avoid adding too many sections, as a large number of sections can slow page load times.
