# Change your social sharing image

When you share your site link on social media, via text, Discord, or other platforms, a preview image often appears alongside the link. By default, Fourthwall generates an automatic social sharing image for your site. You can replace it with a custom image to better showcase your brand.

## Why add a custom social sharing image?

A custom social sharing image makes your site link more visually appealing when shared online. It gives you control over how your shop appears in link previews across platforms like Twitter/X, Discord, and Facebook, improving brand recognition for anyone who sees the link.

## How to add a custom social sharing image

To update your social sharing image, go to [**Settings > General**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/settings/general?redirect) in your dashboard and scroll down to the **Site Details** section. You will see an upload area where you can drop a file or select one from your computer.

For best results, use a PNG or JPEG file at 1200 x 628 px. Once uploaded, your new image will appear whenever your site link is shared online.
