# How to add a Feature collection or Collection list section to your site

After you have [created a collection](/create-and-sell-products/how-to-guides/create-a-collection), you can showcase it on your homepage or a custom page by adding one of two collection section types in the site designer Layout tab. A **Feature collection** section displays products from one specific collection. A **Collection list** section displays a group of collections, useful for organizing products by season, category, or theme.

## Adding a Feature collection section

A Feature collection section lets you spotlight the products from one collection directly on a page, with a heading, optional button, and configurable product count.

1. In your Fourthwall dashboard, go to **Site Design** > **Layout**.
2. Use the dropdown at the top of the Layout panel to select the page where you want to add the section (for example, Home).
3. Scroll to the bottom of the left-hand menu and click **Add page section**.
4. Find **Feature collection** in the list and click **Add**.

## Feature collection settings

Click the section in the layout to open its settings panel. You can configure:

- **Collection.** Select which collection to display in this section. Only products in the selected collection will appear.
- **Heading.** The text label shown above the collection products. Edit this to match your marketing copy or collection name.
- **Button.** Toggle a button on or off, set the button label, and enter the URL the button should link to. Use a "View all" button if your collection has more products than the number you display.
- **Number of products.** Set how many products appear in the section (options: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, or 48). If your collection has more products than this limit, supporters need to click through to the full collection page to see everything.

Click **Save** after making changes.

## Adding a Collection list section

A Collection list section displays multiple collections together, each with its own image and title. This is useful when you want visitors to browse several product groupings at once, for example a Winter Collection, a Spring Collection, and a Limited Edition drop shown side by side.

1. In your Fourthwall dashboard, go to **Site Design** > **Layout**.
2. Use the dropdown at the top of the Layout panel to select the page where you want to add the section.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the left-hand menu and click **Add page section**.
4. Find **Collection list** in the list and click **Add**.

## Collection list settings

Click the section in the layout to open its settings panel. You can configure:

- **Heading text.** The label shown above the collection list grid.
- **Collections.** Add or remove collections from the list, reorder them by dragging, and upload a custom cover image for each collection entry to replace the default thumbnail.
- **Appearance.** Set the section alignment, how many collections appear per row, the aspect ratio for collection images (keep this consistent across all entries for visual balance), and whether to show or hide collection titles.

Click **Save** after making changes.

## Troubleshooting & Common Issues

**Problem:** A collection does not appear in the Feature collection dropdown
**Solution:** The collection must be created first in **Products** > **Collections** before it is available for selection in the section settings. Create the collection, then return to the Layout tab.

**Problem:** Collection list images look inconsistent across entries
**Solution:** Each collection entry can have its own image with a different aspect ratio. Upload images with the same dimensions and aspect ratio across all entries for a uniform grid appearance.

**Problem:** Visitors can only see some products, not the full collection
**Solution:** The **Number of products** setting controls how many products the Feature collection section shows. Add a button linking to the full collection page so visitors can view all items.
