# What Does "Partially Shipped" Mean on my Order?

"Partially Shipped" means at least one item in an order has been shipped, while one or more items are still pending. This is a normal status for orders containing multiple products fulfilled by different partners or shipped from different warehouses. In some cases it indicates a problem — specifically when the status never advances because of a misconfigured product listing.

## Why an order shows as "Partially Shipped"

### Split shipments from a single fulfillment partner

When an order contains multiple products made by the same manufacturer, some items may leave the warehouse before others are ready. Products that are out of stock, require additional production time, or are at different production stages ship in separate packages. Each shipment generates a separate tracking number.

### Different fulfillment partners on the same order

If an order includes products from multiple fulfillment partners (for example, one product from Printful and one from Dubow), each vendor ships its portion independently. Their shipments may depart on different days and arrive at different times, resulting in the order remaining in "Partially Shipped" status until all vendors have shipped.

### Item-level visibility not available in the order details

Sometimes the order details page does not break down exactly which items have shipped and which are still pending. You will see tracking information, but the per-item view may not be available. The order will still resolve to "Shipped" once all items have been dispatched.

### Item held due to a printing or design issue

If an item was flagged for a quality issue during production and held temporarily, the remaining items in the order may ship first while the held item is resolved. The order will remain "Partially Shipped" until the held item ships.

### Misconfigured digital product listed as physical

This is a problem case. If a digital product was originally created as a physical product in Fourthwall's dashboard, adding a digital file download to it later does NOT convert it to a true digital listing. The order system still treats it as a physical item awaiting physical shipment.

The result is that the order can never advance past "Partially Shipped" because the platform is waiting for a physical shipment that will never occur. The only fix is to recreate the product as a genuine digital product listing and ask the supporter to place a new order (or manually provide the digital file to the supporter).

## What to do when an order is stuck in "Partially Shipped"

If the order details page does not show which items have shipped and which are pending, or if the status has not changed for longer than expected, contact support at support@fourthwall.com and include the order number. The support team can:

- Review the shipment logs to identify which items have shipped and which are pending
- Investigate any holds or issues with unfulfilled items
- Manually mark the order as complete if all items have been fulfilled but the status did not update automatically

> **Note:** If digital product orders are stuck on "Partially Shipped," check whether those listings were originally created as physical products. Adding a digital download to a physical listing does NOT change the product type. Recreate those listings as true digital products to prevent this status going forward.

## Troubleshooting & Common Issues

**Problem:** An order has been in "Partially Shipped" status for more than 2 weeks with no updates.
**Solution:** Contact support@fourthwall.com with the order number. The support team will review the shipment logs and escalate to the fulfillment partner if needed.

**Problem:** A digital product order is stuck in "Partially Shipped" and the supporter has not received their file.
**Solution:** The listing was likely created as a physical product with a digital file added afterward. Send the digital file to the supporter directly via email as a short-term resolution. Recreate the product as a proper digital listing to prevent this on future orders.

**Problem:** You can see tracking for one item but not the other items in the order.
**Solution:** When different fulfillment partners handle different items, tracking numbers are generated per-shipment, per-vendor. The missing tracking may simply not have been generated yet — the other item may still be in production. Wait 1–2 additional business days, then contact support if tracking still does not appear.
