# What is a requestable product

Some products in the Fourthwall catalog need manual preparation by the product listing team before you can sell them. These are called requestable products. If the item you want isn't in the catalog at all, you can submit the Custom Product Sourcing Request Form to ask the Fourthwall team to source it. There are two paths depending on whether the product exists in the catalog.

## Which path to use

- **The product is in the catalog with a "Requestable" badge.** Submit a requestable product directly from the catalog. Follow the workflow in the section below.
- **The product is not in the Fourthwall catalog.** Submit the [Custom Product Sourcing Request Form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfRlkurrjbtBVtUrev8TcJCwrrn9Pk0iagzMlaq4nxOB5wVVw/viewform). This is the right path for items like boonie hats, outdoor hats, specific accessory shapes, or any product type not found in the catalog.

If you searched the catalog for a specific item and didn't find it, use the Custom Product Sourcing Request Form to ask the Fourthwall team to source it for you.

## How requestable products work

Requestable products are catalog items marked with a "Requestable" badge. They need manual preparation by the Fourthwall product listing team before you can sell them.

The workflow after submitting a request:

1. Upload your designs for the request.
2. The manufacturer positions your artwork and generates product renders.
3. The manufacturer uploads the requested product into your Fourthwall dashboard in a hidden state for you to review and approve.
4. If there are issues creating your requestable product, the listing team reaches out by email with suggestions. Check your spam and junk folders.
5. Once you are happy with the final version, mark the product as live or order a sample. To change any aspect of the requestable product, email [support@fourthwall.com](mailto:support@fourthwall.com).

You can submit one requestable product per month directly from the catalog. To request more in the same month, submit the [Custom Product Sourcing Request Form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfRlkurrjbtBVtUrev8TcJCwrrn9Pk0iagzMlaq4nxOB5wVVw/viewform) separately for each item.

## Requesting a product not in the catalog

If the exact product you want is not in the Fourthwall catalog, submit the [Custom Product Sourcing Request Form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfRlkurrjbtBVtUrev8TcJCwrrn9Pk0iagzMlaq4nxOB5wVVw/viewform). Submit one form per item you'd like to source. The Fourthwall team reviews each request and follows up by email with options or next steps.

Common examples of products that require this form:

- Boonie hats, bucket hats, and other outdoor or specialty headwear shapes.
- Specific accessory types not currently listed, like niche bag styles or specialty drinkware.
- Apparel cuts or fits not represented in the existing catalog.
