# Payment methods accepted on Fourthwall

Fourthwall accepts credit cards, debit cards, digital wallets, PayPal, Alipay, local payment methods, and Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options at checkout. The specific methods available to each supporter depend on their location, device, and browser. You do not need to configure most of these; they appear automatically.

## Credit, debit, and prepaid cards

Supporters can pay with all major card networks at checkout: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Prepaid cards and gift cards issued on these same networks are also accepted. No additional setup is required from the creator side.

## Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link

Digital wallet options appear automatically based on the supporter's device, browser, and saved payment information. The available options are:

- **Apple Pay**. Available on Safari and Apple devices with a configured wallet.
- **Google Pay**. Available on Chrome and Android devices with a configured wallet.
- **Link**. Stripe's fast checkout option that auto-fills saved payment details.

Creators do not need to enable these individually. They surface whenever the supporter's environment supports them.

## PayPal

Supporters can select PayPal at checkout and pay using their PayPal balance or any card linked to their PayPal account. PayPal is available to all supporters regardless of location. PayPal also works for supporter tips and locked message purchases in Memberships.

PayPal carries higher processing fees than standard card payments: 3.49% + $0.49 per transaction, with an additional 1.5% surcharge for payments originating from outside the USA.

## Alipay

Supporters in regions where Alipay is commonly used can select it during checkout. This is particularly relevant for supporters in China and APAC markets. Alipay appears as a payment option automatically for eligible supporters.

## Local payment methods

Some payment methods appear only for supporters in specific countries. These localized options are displayed automatically based on the supporter's location and selected currency. Local payment methods require the matching local currency to appear at checkout.

- **USA**. Cash App, Amazon Pay
- **Austria**. EPS
- **Belgium**. Bancontact
- **Germany**. GiroPay
- **Netherlands**. iDeal
- **France**. Cartes Bancaires
- **Poland**. Przelewy24 (supports both PLN and EUR)

## Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL)

Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) lets supporters split their purchase into installments. When BNPL is enabled on your shop, supporters see these additional payment options at checkout:

- **Afterpay**. Splits the total into four interest-free payments.
- **Klarna**. Offers flexible installment plans.

## Payment processing fees

All payment methods carry standard transaction fees charged by the payment processor. These fees vary by method (for example, PayPal charges higher rates than standard card payments).
