# How to create a combined product listing

The combined product feature lets you group multiple design variations of the same product into one listing. For example, if you sell a T-shirt with a white logo on dark shirts and a black logo on light shirts, you can combine them into a single listing instead of two separate ones. There are two ways to create a combined listing: from the **Create new product** menu, or by selecting eligible products directly from your product list.

## Prerequisites & Requirements

- At least two individual product listings already created in your Fourthwall dashboard
- Both products must be the exact same product type (e.g., Bella Canvas T-shirt with Bella Canvas T-shirt)
- Both products must use the same printing technique (DTG, DTFx, Embroidery, Sublimation, etc.)
- The products must NOT share any of the same base colors — if both listings include a black colorway, they cannot be combined

## Option A: Create a combined listing from the Create new product menu

For help creating individual product listings, see [How Do I Create New Product Listings?](/getting-started/setting-up-your-shop/get-started/create-new-product-listings).

### Step 1: Create individual product listings

Create each design as its own product in your Fourthwall dashboard before combining them. To learn how, see [Create New Product Listings](/getting-started/setting-up-your-shop/how-do-i-create-new-product-listings).

You can only combine the exact same product type and printing technique. You cannot mix different products (e.g., a hoodie with a T-shirt). You also cannot combine products that share the same color variant — if two products both include a black colorway, they cannot be combined.

### Step 2: Combine the product listings

1. Go to [**Products**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/products/all/?redirect) in your dashboard.
2. Click **Create a new product**.
3. In the pop-up, select **Combine product listings**.

4. Click **Select products**, choose the individual listings you want to combine, then click **Confirm**.

Once individual product listings are combined, they are NOT available to sell separately.

5. To set which product appears as the main image, click the dots icon and drag the desired product to the top of the list.

6. Update the combined listing name, add an optional description, then click **Save**.

7. Change the listing status to **Live** when you're ready to publish it on your shop.

The published combined listing displays all color variants in one place, just like a regular product listing.

## Option B: Create a combined listing from the product list

You can also create a combined listing by selecting eligible products directly from [**All Products**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/products/all/?redirect). Products eligible for combining are marked with a **Combinable** tag so you can quickly see which ones qualify. After combining, the listing shows a badge with the number of grouped products — hover over the badge for a tooltip with details.

1. Go to [**Products**](https://my-shop.fourthwall.com/admin/dashboard/products/all/?redirect) > **All Products** in your dashboard.
2. Look for products marked with the **Combinable** tag. Click the checkbox next to each product you want to combine. Your selections persist as you navigate between pages, so you can browse multiple pages and select products without losing earlier selections.
3. Once you've selected all the products to group, click the option to combine them into a combined listing.
4. Reorder the products by dragging them, update the listing name and description, then click **Save**.
5. Set the listing status to **Live** when you're ready to publish.

## Limitations of combined product listings

- You can only combine the exact same product type (e.g., Bella Canvas T-shirt with Bella Canvas T-shirt) and the same printing technique — Direct-to-Garment (DTG), Direct-to-Film (DTFx), Embroidery, etc.
- You cannot combine product listings that share the same base color. For example, if both individual listings include a black colorway of the AS Colour Hoodie, they cannot be combined.
- To edit the artwork on an individual product, you must first remove it from the combined listing. You can re-combine the products after editing.
- Once combined, the individual product listings are NOT available to sell separately.
